For many years, I was blessed to live in a home overlooking the lake. Each morning, the sun rose over the water, and I was usually there to see it. That was my time with myself. I would stand quietly waiting for my coffee to brew or the water to boil for tea, and watch as the fiery red-orange glow rose above the horizon. It was a sacred time, and I cherished it. Even now, no matter where I am, whenever the sun comes up, I am reminded that I have been given another opportunity to live my best life. And every morning I take a moment to relish the wonder of that. I’ve grown to depend on that sun.
What I know for sure is that every day, the sun will rise again. It will rise tomorrow and the next day, the next week and the week after. No matter what is happening n my life, your life, our world, that sun is going to keep rising, and I trust in the power that allows that to occur. I call it sunrise faith. I believe in the power that not only allows the sun to rise but makes the planet circle one more time, turns seeds into flowers and dreams into realities. Do you believe in that power, or are you trusting only in yourself?
When you put your trust only in yourself, you say things like, “If only I could make it through” or “I hope I’ll have enough” or “Maybe I can just hang on” Sunrise faith is knowing that you will make it through. It’s believing in abundance, and your worthiness; it’s understanding that miracles can open up your life in ways you’ve never even imagined. It’s surrendering your dream to a greater power because you know the universe dreams a bigger dream for you than you could ever dream fro yourself.
Even on those days when you can’t see the sun, it’s there. Have you ever flown in a plane when the sky is overcast? From the ground, all you can see are dark clouds. But when the plane climbs above the clouds, you’re able to see the sun. The sun is always there, shining. So next time you find yourself surrounded by darkness in the middle of a storm and everything is at its absolute worst, take a moment to give thanks - because you know that no matter what, the sun going to rise. It will get better. That is sunrise faith.
A puppy’s life was saved with vodka after it almost died from licking radiation fluid. According to News, Cleo, the staffordshire puppy almost suffered ethylene glycol poisoning. The vet administered vodka every six hours for two days. Without the vodka, Cleo would have suffered renal failure.
Maybe we should replace our cup of teas and coffees with 2 shots of vodka in the morning. It sure gets my blood rushing…I’m just saying :)
